Motivation comes so easily when you are working out of an office that inspires you. Not only that, but being surrounded by people and things that help fuel your creativity helps so much. You’ll be happier and much more productive! Today, I’d like to share with you where I’ve been workingย from in the last few weeks, and will continue doing so into June – theย smartwaterย up up up lounge at WeWork New York. WeWork is a co-working space, so it’s been fascinating to walk by different companies and startups on my way to the lounge. Plus, you can really feel the creative and entrepreneurial energy here!

The space here is a crisp white and blue (my favorite colors). Not to mention, the clouds and “rainfall” furniture accents make me feel so zen as I edit and type away. My favorite part of the decor design? The goldfish!

Positive words and sayings around the officeย also helps inspire your work. It’s the little reminders here and there that keep you going.

I really want to talk about the clouds in the lounge. It’s the key piece to the decor that really gives me a sense of freedom and creativity. Flying, whenever I travel, is always a highlight of myย adventures. There’s nothing like soaring through the air that really liberates a person. ย These clouds are designed by Richard Clarkson, and they imitate a soft thunderstorm. The clouds illuminate and rumble gently, as well as play music from a bluetooth-enabled device. I think that’s so amazing! There are also rainfall bowls installed in the space that make drip drop sounds. Personally, I’m a huge fan of ambient noise. Like classical music, it helps your brain focus.
Luckily for me, I was able to get a little more insight into his work during a WeWork Lunch and Learn event. The artist himself spoke about his process and how he learned to code to create the effects the cloud produces.

There’s nothing quite like being in a room filled with creatives who are all in a place to learn and grow.
I also made a new friend in the process! So naturally, we went to the #upupup smartwater photo booth.
