WHILE WE WERE YOUNG

Taking a break from the monotony of NYC dining for a place that delights.
If there ever was a restaurant that was after my own heart, this place is it. A new spot that plays on my feminine and romantic sensibilities?! Sign me up. So, I recently met up with my friend Kelly and had a girl’s night at While We Were Young (183 W 10th St) in the West Village. Don’t you love it when there’s still light outside during dinner? They literally had me at rose petals in the snow (in front of the entrance). The decor inside was chic girly vibes — plush pink tufted seating, chevron prints, neon signs and rose petals everywhere. Yes, please and thank you. This spot is just so Instagrammable. With that said, the cocktails were delicious and the food equally yummy. If you are looking for attention to detail in aesthetics and taste, you will have found it here. While We Were Young is both a visual and delectable treat!
Here’s a look at how our evening played out…
Started with the burrata with candied citrus and honeycomb…
Of course, with cocktails that tastes as good at they look…
L-R: While We Were Young, Text From Last Night
Before helping ourselves to our mains — Chicken +Waffles, Off Menu Salmon
…and another round please!
L-R: Too Good For You, The Last Call
Finishing off with indulgent desserts — Chocolate Mousse, Lavender Key Lime Pie
..and we ordered another round of colorful cocktails before heading into the night (same as first round).
I’m kind of obsessed with this place and am ready to go back for cocktails or brunch!
