Twenty-eight acres of lush flora in New York City, hidden in the Bronx.
I can’t remember how I discovered Wave Hill, but I distinctly remembered how surreal it looked. Aside from the botanical gardens and conservatory in Central Park, I didn’t know there was a whole other world tucked away in the very borough I live in. One September day, Apneet and I decided to make the venture up to Riverdale to explore. What we found was a plethora of beautiful flowers, vegetables, herbs, cacti and succulents growing in the gardens, greenhouses, and around the paths of the property. There’s a shuttle bus that takes you to and from the subway and the entrance fee is only $8! Hike the trails, admire the flowers, and take in the beautiful landscape.
It feels great to take a break from back-to-back travel posting and put up these photos from my city. The hardest thing for me recently is finding balance these days!
