Thessaloniki Part II
After delving into the history and the city’s relics in Part I, we’re onto something more creative today.
Stay
Porto Palace Hotel
A great place to tuck in after a whole day of fun with a nice selection of breakfast, too. I’m pretty pleased to learn how to make Greek coffee there. I like to have it with a side of rose-flavored loukoumi (turkish delight)!
The Artisans
As a city huge on the youth culture, there’s a burgeoning creative and entrepreneurial community. I got the opportunity to visit the stores of the Handpeak collective in the White Tower neighborhood. It was wonderful hearing their stories and seeing the behind-the-scenes of their craft.
