The Slip Dress

If there is one trend I really wanted to try, it’s the slip dress. It adds an air of sexiness to your entire look. The key is to find one that doesn’t make you look like you’ve just stepped out of the bedroom. Just like the pajama trend, you want to have the PJ look without actually looking like you’ve just rolled out of bed. Slinky not skanky. For me, it definitely comes down to design and opacity. When I saw this grey one, I knew it was the perfect chance to give the look a try. What sold me was the subtle hints of lace and the lining underneath.

To tone it down even more, I wore it with a cozy cardigan and shiny sneakers. I can already see myself wearing this big open sweater with everything this fall. This summer has been all about light and airy for me, but now that autumn in on my mind, I’m bringing back the darker colors.
