Sailing Into Porto Venere

Always dreaming about the nautical life…

For lunch, we made a pit stop in Porto Venere during our sail down the Italian Riviera. The old charm and beauty of the town can be seen immediately upon arrival. It’s medieval structures are still preserved, as you can see the old church at the coastal edge connecting down to the castle, hugging the town’s colorful buildings.

The weather was perfect, sunny and warm with a cooling sea breeze. This sail gave me a chance to switch up my wardrobe for a change. I did a little shopping in Florence and somehow ended back at Zara, where I got this ensemble. It also turned out that I forgot to pack sandals, so I picked that up there too. Oh, the bag too….
