Rimmel Challenge #3: Rainy Day

I’ve been nominated to participate in Rimmel London’s Stay Glossy Contest and am now a finalist! For the next few weeks I will be completing challenges to create head-to-toe looks for different occasions. Help me become Rimmel London’s official blogger by voting below. My third challenge:

It’s pretty clear that colors change your moods. So when it is dark and grey outside, adding a zing of red instantly picks you up. A good mood rubs off! Since it’s wet out, I still like to stay in dark clothing and boots, just in case of splashes. A trench coat is a must in this weather! I again borrowed from the boyfriend’s closet and wore a two-toned collar shirt, which is nice because the cuff folds up in a navy. Keeping with the layered look, I rolled up the sleeves just enough for the navy blue to peek through from under the trench coat. The reds will be highlighting a rather neutral and dark outfit.

I don’t like to fuss over much on a rainy day, especially my makeup. I kept it to a clean winged eyeliner look and skipped the shadows. For my face, I used an all in one makeup + skincare product, bb cream, and lightly dusted my cheeks with blush.

As for the key makeup feature of today’s look, the lips, a nice pigmented red gloss. Not only does it perk up your mood, but helps make you look less tired if you happen to have missed a few hours of sleep last night.
