Happy Friday! Here’s the second outfit I styled for the Nordstrom Rack Fall Trends Challenge (see the first one here). Keeping in mind the Retro Chic theme, I went shopping for the perfect “Day to Night” look. I love this challenge because it forces me to think about the versatility of an outfit. My inspiration was Joan Holloway from the TV Series Mad Men.
I went with a simple sheath dress that accentuates the female figure without overexposure — the neckline was cut low enough to add a statement necklace but not show cleavage. Since it usually is cold in the office, I got a waterfall cardigan that can be worn regularly at work or draped over the shoulders at night. For shoes, I went with a pair of lady-like slingback pumps in a fun color.
