Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon
Ancient crystal blue glaciers covered in white snow, floating against the Icelandic mountain range.
We spent some time in this lake full of blue ice cubes during our two-day excursion. It’s just one of those places you have to see for yourself. I still cannot get over how blue a Iceland’s water bodies are — the rivers, sea and ice. It’s just so so beautiful to take in and revel in nature’s untouched wonder. Just like the flow of the melting glaciers, we walked from the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, down to the Glacial River Bridge, and crossed into the black sand beach.
There is a Zodiac boat tour into the lagoon, which I think would be so epic to try. I suppose that means another trip to Iceland needs to be in the works, soon!
But, honestly, words can’t even describe this place. So, of course, I went trigger happy here…
