Let me preface this by saying that I’ve never been to Z100’s Jingle Ball when I was younger, but I totally remember trying to call into the station, hoping to be the 100th caller and win tickets. This year I was lucky to be invited to the pre-event and lounge, thanks to Duane Reade. I don’t think I can ever get tired of some of the perks available to me as one of their blogger ambassadors. It’s almost been a year since I entered that contest and was one of bloggers selected as winners!
Inside the All-Access Lounge, was a plethora of festivities. I watched Olly Murs perform and the crowd piled in to meet special guests like Beiber and Ne-Yo. There was so much swag being handed out by the different sponsors of the lounge that I had to eventually say ‘not thanks’. Duane Reade had a huge section equipped with a photobooth and makeover stations. I dipped in for a few to get a Maybelline makeover and snap some pictures at the photobooth.
The featured look of the day was a green-gold smokey eye with nude lips. The makeup artist used Maybelline’s Eye Studio Quad in Green with Envy. She dusted my cheeks with a peachy blush and covered my lips with foundation before applying the nude lipstick. I also got my eyeliner retouched for a darker smokier look.
Too bad I had to leave before the event ended. I’m glad I got to walk around before becoming overwhelmed with Beiber fangirls.
That wouldn’t have ended well for me…
