Summertime has officially arrived. That means my hair will need extra help in-between wash days. Two of my biggest hair issues are flyaways and oily buildup at the roots, especially during really warm days. These last few months of lockdown, you can almost always find me with a topknot or bun. Daily washing isn’t really an option when you aren’t going anywhere or busy. Now that New York City is already in phase two of reopening, the hustle & bustle will return as well — which means… more outdoor time and the need for hair refresh, greater.
Two products I’ve been loving are from the Pantene Waterless Collection — Cheat Day Dry Shampoo Foam and Mist Behaving Dry Conditioner Mist. Both are free of sulfates and parabens. First, I love how innovative the product forms are. Maybe I’ve been living under a rock, but dry shampoo in foam form and dry conditioner?! That’s amazing!
The dry shampoo foam is a great “wash” for my oily roots that usually appear on day 2 and 3 already. It refreshes my hair so nicely. The foam contains pro-vitamin B5 and orchid flower water, which helps loosen up the clumpy hair and the tapioca from cassava root absorbs the oil in your roots. It’s also super easy to use — you simply dispense a small amount to your fingertips and massage at the roots.
With the dry conditioner, I like to use it all over but especially on the ends of y hair to tame those flyaways and baby hairs, along with rehydrating my ends. This comes so handy for humid days. I even use it after drying my newly wash hair to calm it. The dry conditioner is super lightweight and contains Omega-9 that gets into strands to hydrate and nourish.
