Ciao Bella, Florence
FIRENZE. The beauty of fashion and history within a single city’s walls.
Just a train ride away from Pisa, Florence was warm welcome after a full day of traveling. Yes, we flew into Pisa from Paris before taking the rail in. All we wanted by the end of the day was to take a long nap. Luckily, we checked into a suite at the St. Regis Florence, complete with a luxurious bed. Oh, the personal butler was nice, too. The view (photo above) from the windows, was absolutely gorgeous, especially at sunset.
Cappuccino in the room, St. Regis Florence
Duomo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria dei Fiore
Lunch at Amblé, cafe meets antique shop. This wagon had a price tag on it!
Walking the busy streets, and admiring the architecture.
Shopping the street markets full of leather goods and trinkets.
Narrow alleyways are the perfect place to apply lipgloss, apparently.
Pizza at Toto Atto II by the Palazzo Pitti. Our Airbnb apartment was just one block away!
Yum, pesto and mozz.
Panoramic views from the top of the Piazzale Michelangelo. This overlook is definitely worth the high climb.
Making a pit stop for some gelato ;)
I can’t wait to make another trip back here. There’s so much to see, eat and shopping to be done!
