Fall Beauty Goodies: Drugstore Edition

REVLON Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in (L to R) 020 Lovesick, 030 Smitten and 025 Sweetheart

It’s been awhile since my last mission with Duane Reade. I wanted to take this opportunity to showcase some of my favorite makeup items for Fall. I recently swapped out my old Flex Rewards card to the new Balance Rewards program. I love that you can earn points shopping at Walgreens now. Of course, when I bought these products, I shopped for the best sales my new Balance Rewards membership could get me. Luckily for me, some of my favorite products were nicely discounted with my new card. The two specials I used included getting Revlon’s buy one get one free and Maybelline’s buy one get one half off. Pretty sweet deal, huh?!

If you missed the original Fall Beauty Goodies post, check it out here. Today, it’s all about drugstore beauty. Let’s start off with Revlon’s balm stains. I have been using Sweetheart (above) for a while and its amazing. It’s pretty much a great everyday lip product — moisture + pigment. For the Fall, I decided to go with berry colors: Lovesick and Smitten. If I had to choose, I heart Smitten more since it’s a deeper color, but since I could get another for free, I picked up Lovesick.

MAYBELLINE Dream Bouncy Blush in (L to R) 50 Plum Wine and 70 Hot Tamale

This is another product I’ve been loving all summer. I currently own Pink Frosting (not pictured) and wanted to pick up some colors for Fall. Of course, I need some more berry, even on the cheeks. I’m pretty excited about Plum Wine. Since I could get another at half off with my Balance Rewards card, I picked up Hot Tamale as well. I think Plum Wine would look so sexy against darker clothing.
REVLON Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel in (L to R) 220 Rain Forest and 150 Cayenne

More from Revlon! I can’t help the great membership deal. Plus, I’ve been obsessing over the finish of the Colorstay nail polishes. Combined with the topcoat, the paints last pretty long and stays glossy. This summer I’ve thoroughly enjoyed discovering these polishes and using them. For the Fall, I picked up Rain Forest and Cayenne. Both colors are so perfect. For some reason I have been loving natural tones for the Fall. I love the earthiness of these two colors. Cayenne totally reminds me of red clay!
NYC New York Color Individual Eyes in 960 Summer Crush

Okay, yes. I know it says Summer Crush, but these are a darker versions of its original color. I love the burnt orange and golden yellow eyeshadows from this palette. This is one of my favorite palettes to get because it comes equipped with primer and highlighter.

MAYBELLINE Dream Fresh BB Cream in Light
REVLON Colorstay Whipped Foundation in 110 Ivory

I had to include these two in even though they are pretty much seasonless. Both are fairly new to the market, and both I love using. Out of the many US-based bb creams I’ve used, Maybelline’s is my favorite. Of course I still love my fuller-coverage Asian ones. As for Revlon’s new whipped foundation, I love it because it works as great as the original Colorstay foundation, except, it feel much lighter. Fluffy even.

There you have it, some of my favorites going into the Fall. I saved about $25 on this trip! If you are planning to get some shopping in, I definitely recommend using the Balance Rewards savings on Revlon products. I don’t think you can beat getting a second item free :)
