Right before sailing the Cinque Terre and after Florence, we took the train again to relax in a cozy coastal town by the Italian Riviera called Levanto. Next to the famous five towns or Cinque Terre, it was the perfect place to simply do nothing. Since we were there during a shoulder season, the town was really quiet. It was the best break from the big crowds in Florence. This city girl even learned how to ride a bike here! It was a great couple of days of just eating, sleeping, and enjoying the ocean breeze. We stayed at the most charming Oasi Hotel. This was not a place for big resorts or hotels. Also, if I knew how to surf, this would be a great place to do so.
