Cozy Essentials

Happy Winter Solstice! Since the cold weather season is officially upon us, I thought it would be the perfect time to talk warm cozy pieces for your wardrobe.

I’m a big believer of style and comfort, so there’s no such thing as choosing between the two. I love filling my closet with items that I can wear over and over again.  Here’s some of my favorites that I’m bringing back out and shopping for to stay stylish and warm this winter…

The holy grail of all cozy casual fashion items. Comfy hoodies and pants are your best bet. You can get matching ones for a more stylized look or mix and match in similar tones. Add a cup of hot cocoa and you’re all set.

Oversized Sweaters

As seen in this outfit here, you can definitely pair a comfy sweater or sweater dress with chic boots to stay warm yet snuggly. During the winter, accessories definitely play a large role in completing the look. I love the ribbon lace up detail on this one. Details matter!

P.S.  Sometimes, these things are so oversized that you need to go down a size. This specific sweater I’m wearing runs large so I could wear it as a dress. I would recommend sizing down as well. My height is 5′ 6″ for reference!

Pom beanies

I love wearing a chunky knit beanie! Add a fur pom (or two) on top and it’s instant winter cuteness. I like fur poms on top but this coming season, I want a double pom as well in my wardrobe.

Fuzzy Socks / Slippers

When you’re lounging indoors, I love to complete the look with fuzzy warm socks like this polar bear one or furry slippers like this one.

Teddy Coats

Lastly, what I’m currently shopping for… a furry and cuddly coat. When the temperature drops, coats will be the statement makers. As of today, I’m looking at a blush version, cropped one and this patterned one.

Who else is getting ready for winter?
