For my second mission as a Duane Reade VIP Blogger, I shopped a brand new shampoo & conditioner line called Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy at the flagship store. To promote the launch of the line, Clear set up booths at different stores over the city and gave out luxury-sized samples!
The line includes different collections for men, women and relaxed/natural hair. What’s different about these products is that they target the scalp for healthier hair rather than the ends by building a strong foundation for hair growth and strengthening.
Even within the individual collections, are different formulations for specific concerns. There are six for the women’s collection, five in the men’s, and one for relaxed/natural hair, which also includes a balm and hair oil.
More deets on the new collection after the jump!
Women’s Collection includes:
- Total Care (for general use)
- Damage & Color Repair
- Volumizing Root Boost
- Strong Lengths
- Moisturizing Dry Scalp
- Complete Care (deeper than Total Care)
- Complete Care
- Cool Sport Mint
- Clean & Refresh
- Dry Scalp Hydration
- Strong + Full
I actually wanted to go ahead and purchase full-size products to try out. The samples I received were in the Total Care formulations, but I wanted something more targeted to my needs. I decided to go with the Strong Lengths shampoo and Damage & Color Repair conditioner. I wanted to strengthen and grow my hair out at the same time do some damage control.
I really like that they use sunflower, almond, soybean and coconut oils. I love giving my hair a coconut oil hair mask every week to treat it. Seriously, my hair comes out so soft afterwards.
Of course, I couldn’t bring home something for myself and not the boyfriend (well, I can…). I thought the Clean & Refresh shampoo + conditioner in one was a good one for him. This concludes my adventure with Clear and Duane Reade.
Until the next challenge….
