Apple Picking at Fishkill Farms

Autumn’s favorite activity. I’ve been waiting all year to slip into my Hunter boots and wander the orchards for farm fresh pickings. There’s nothing that will give you more Fall feels than apple cider doughnuts topped with cinnamon sugar after a day of foraging. The reason why I chose Freshkill Farms was for the sunflower fields. Unfortunately, by the time we decided to make the trip upstate, it was a little too late and most of them started to wilt.

Nevertheless, we had an amazing time choosing from several types of apples. Freshkill also has a pumpkin patch and sparkling cider bar behind the market. You get a free hard cider tasting with every apple picking ticket!

The best season is officially here. I can’t wait for the foliage to come through!
