A Rosy Spring Start

This has been the year of the rose for me. I’m not sure how it started, but the amount rose-scented items in my beauty closet have been piling up. Maybe, 2014 is the year I’ve finally acknowledged my inner girly girl.

…or I’ve been looking forward to Spring for a very, very long time.

It’s finally here (hi, April!), and it feels so good to emerge out of all the layers and Winter darkness. NYC weather has been bi-polar as of late, so on the first Spring-like day, I decided to pick up a bunch of tea roses from the market to freshen up the home. It was such a beautiful day that afterwards, I decided to walk to the lake in Central Park and watch the sun set.

Spring has always signified new beginnings. Not only did I want to spruce the apartment up with fresh flowers, I changed my look recently, too! Today, I get to debut my new hair color to the online world. I feel totally refreshed and ready to take on what the new season brings. Goodbye and good riddance to dark rooted ombre hair ;)

It’s the newest rosy addition in my beauty (body) regiment. Ah! I just get so excited about pink things and smelling like roses, haha! ::insert dancing emoji::

Days start off the best when I step out of the shower feeling squeaky and smelling good. Body wash matter so much, especially when I forget to spritz on my favorite perfume running out of the house. It happens 50% of the time, so having a great wash to keep me smelling nice is important. It’s important because it keeps my spirits high throughout the day, and it’s only courteous to everyone else that I do not stink, hehe!
