This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pantene. All opinions are 100% mine.
We all need to take some time for self-care. After an already very busy January — coming back home from a ski trip and catching up on everything, I think a little me-time is due. That’s why I love choosing my birthday week to carve out a moment to dedicate to myself. I love the idea of feeling refresh and renewed for my personal new year.
Rituals can be very simple things that make you feel happy and good. It doesn’t have to be extravagant to count as treating yourself. For me, I like to create spa days to reset myself each birthday. You can dedicate an hour a day to yourself and really make it count.
I like to do a few things to start the process for relaxation. It starts with getting myself some flowers to set the scene.
I love flowers and so I often get them for myself to set the scene of my selfcare routine. Next, I like to light up a candle with a soothing scent to create a spa-like space before going through my beauty rituals. This is a good time for me to take it slow and add extra steps to my skincare routine like a sheet mask. There’s nothing like laying down with a mask on after showering or a nice bath.
During my usual shower routine, I love to indulge in hair care. I think for women, having good hair really makes a different in your mood. I have been using the new Pantene Nutrient Blends Collection which is super unique. It draws ingredients based off of different cultures from the world. The shampoo and conditioner that best suits me is the hydrating Miracle Moisture Boost with Rose Water. This collection is sulfate, paraben, dye and mineral oil free so it’s perfect for winters in New York which can be so drying to my hair.
Washing my hair is when I do my best thinking. I like to think ahead and see all the positives the future will hold — whether it’s tonight’s dinner with friends or an upcoming trip.
As someone who loves to share beauty tips, I think changing your hair products every so often is a good idea. I am an inquisitive person throughout, so exploring new products is super fun. My mom always comes over for new product recommendations! Click here to find the Miracle Moisture Boost with Rose Water and let me know your thoughts!
After my usual bath routine, I love to end the moment serenely with a mask and a good tv show.
What’s your me-moment like?
