A Look Back at 2016

It’s that time of the year again. We make New Year Eve’s plans and revisit the memories of the last year.

Thinking back, I’ve had such a fulfilling year…

On the Travel Front Started the year off in a new city Montreal, followed by a ski trip to Mont Tremblant. I loved spending my birthday on the island of St. Martin before revisiting Miami two more times — the first to Key Biscayne/Key West with Andy and the second for a close friend’s bachelorette. I can officially say I’ve been to the southernmost point of the continental USA. I can’t believe I’ve finally crossed Provence, France off my bucket list. Those lavender fields and great food did not disappoint!

On the Home Front My summer was amazingly lit, starting off with a music festival, Panorama. Andy and I are learning to cook with the help of Plated and online pressure cooker recipes. One pot meals are the best! I’m so proud of our progress so far. The days of takeout are few and far between.

On the Content Creation Front Not to mention, I’ve had so many brand partnerships that I had a blast creating content with (always so grateful)! Plus, I’ve realized I love creating video content and curating daily moments on my Instagram so much more this year! I still can’t believe I actually completed my Vlogmas series this holiday season. Kind of missing vlogging, now.

On the Personal Front More importantly, this was the year I committed to becoming an active person and being more mindful about my body, skin etc. I ran my first race!! It was so intense since it was pouring rain, lol. I intend on signing up for more in 2017. I also pleasantly surprised myself by dropping a size without planning to, but I’m not complaining! Taking care of myself has just become a high priority for myself this year. Know what makes you happy and don’t spend energy on anything else. I’ve had some minor hiccups along the way, but I’m back on track!

Truly excited about the new year. It’s going to be beautiful.
