I’ve always heard great things about Laura Mercier’s face products, always! So when I found out I get to give her flawless face system a try, I was beyond thrilled! The two main problems with my skin are patches of redness + blemishes here and there. I find myself wearing less makeup if I can create a fresh clean look. A flawless dewy face speaks for itself! (of course having a little makeup help doesn’t hurt!)

I’m pretty impressed by the results of this 4-step Laura Mercier process. It does take a little more time than normal for me, but its faces like this that I reserve for going out and showing off to the world!

Before I start applying makeup, I always make sure I have a clean, exfoliated face. It makes the biggest difference in how the makeup adheres. The products I chose to use are:

  • Foundation Primer
  • Creme Smooth Foundation in Warm Ivory
  • Secret Camouflage in SC-2
  • Loose Setting Powder in Translucent

Let’s start!

This Foundation Primer is colorless and creates a smooth palette for the foundation. I love that it is so lightweight and doesn’t have that velvety or gunky feel to it. Priming your skin also helps make your makeup last longer! I just squeezed a dime size on my hands, and massaged it onto my face.

I decided to choose a creme foundation only because I’ve never tried one before. Laura Mercier has great tinted moisturizers from what I hear. I love that it came with a little spoon, but I just dabbed my foundation brush in the pot and blended it into my face. The foundation comes out really natural looking.

The foundation did a really good job already covering my redness and most of my blemishes, but there were still troublesome spots. This two-tone concealer works together to blend away harder to cover areas like my dark circles. With my concealer brush I mixed the two colors until it matches my skin on the back of my hand. You really need very little of the product for it to work its magic. It is highly pigmented!

I didn’t want to alter the color of the makeup I already have on, so I went for the translucent Loose Setting Powder. I just dusted off the excess of my brush and applied it gently over my face.

Now you are ready to finish the rest of your makeup! I kept it simple and just added a winged liner with a tiny bit of base shadow and a youthful pink lipstick + blush.

Stay beautiful! xo
