His Style, Layered

I’m super excited to put up this post for many reasons. First, I get to shoot the boyfriend and his style. Second, I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and shot in the snow! For some crazy reason, braving the elements and shooting when it’s snowing excites me. Must be the adrenaline rush. Plus, New York has been getting SO MUCH snowfall, I might as well embrace it.

So, about this little outfit I styled for him… It features an ultrasoft Hanes ComfortBlend t-shirt in Engine Red. In a grey city like New York, wearing bold colors is a great way to keep spirits high and make your outfit pop against the bleak cityscape. Since Andy is in a suit and tie for 90% of the week, I wanted to dress him in something clean and trendy for the weekends (when he’s out with me!). If he had his way, he would wear all black all the time on the weekends, so I’m pretty excited to see him in this ensemble. Without disrupting his personal style, I suited him up for an adventure in the city. I kept everything he wore simple and introduced the art of layering into his life. This means starting with the lightest pieces and adding thicker layers as you go on. He is wearing a base layer in a complementing color under his key piece — the bold red Hanes t-shirt — with a hoodie and blazer on top of it. To really emphasize the red tee, he has on black jeans and shoes. The leather-paneled blazer and leather kicks keeps the outfit modern without looking too casual when wearing the usual t-shirt, hoodie and jeans combo. I really love this multi-dimensional look on him!

These Hanes ComfortBlend t-shirts also come in a plethora of fun ready-for-Spring colors. The ComfortBlend line is their softest yet. The modern fit really helped make his outfit. It’s a great basic wardrobe item that works for any outfit situation. So, thanks Hanes for letting me dress my boyfriend up and post someone else’s style on the blog for a change!

P. S. The ComfortBlend shirts are available at Walmart stores nationwide and on Hanes.com for under five dollars.
